    Lt. Col. Tyler Johnson took command of the 14th Civil Engineer Squadron during a change of command ceremony June 3, 2020, at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.

  • BX, Commissary parking lot construction project delayed

    Due to a combination of an extremely wet spring, unforeseen conditions of the ground material under the parking lot, and a bad asphalt mix used during the first phase of the project, there will be significant delays to the Base Exchange/Commissary parking lot project completion date.

  • Freedom Park demolition begins

    Demolition of Freedom Park began Feb. 6 on Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The Freedom Park playground was built in 1996, a time when playgrounds were typically constructed with wooden materials. Since its construction over 20 years ago, several areas have deteriorated in the wooden structure

    2018’s Fire Prevention Week theme was "Look. Listen. Learn. Be Aware. Fire can happen anywhere," and members of the 14th Civil Engineer Squadron did their best during Oct. 6-13 to involve the base and the local community in educating people about the importance of fire prevention.
