The 14th Flying Training Wing Headquarters building and Harpe Blvd. are both named after Gen. Winfield Scott Harpe. Harpe served as Wing Commander here in Columbus Air Force Base from July 1978 to July 1980.The Scott Harpe Complex was dedicated on August 27, 1990, upon completion of the new headquarters building.
