Air Force Birthday Ball Draw Down attendees dressed to this year’s theme “Back to the 80’s” and showcased their best 80’s era attire for the costume contest Aug. 8 at the Columbus Club. The Draw Down is an annual event held by the Air Force Ball Committee to raise money for the Air Force Birthday Ball. The more than 300 attendees enjoyed an open food and refreshments buffet as well as a costume contest where the winner was decided by the volume of the crowd’s applause. Ticket holders were placed in a raffle where over $8,000 worth of prizes were distributed, including $5,000, a 48’ TV, numerous gift cards and other prizes.(U.S. Air Force photo/ Airman John Day)
