Top 3 essay contest
The Columbus AFB Top 3 hosted an enlisted essay contest sponsored by the local Air Force Association Chapter and the Officers Spouses' Council. The essay titled "Why I Vote" was in line with the upcoming election and sought to solicit informative aspects from a Junior Enlisted perspective. Staff Sgt. Iris Catala-Cotto of the 14th Medical Group was the AFA $500 first place recipient. The winner for the non-commissioned officer cateogry was Staff Sgt. Mackenzie Lombardo, 14th MIssion Support Squadon. She received a $125 Officer Spouses Council scholarship. The winner in the Airman category was Senior Airman Kathleen Ellison, 14th Operations Support Squadron. The winners are pictured here with Master Sgt.
