Team BLAZE celebrates 63rd Air Force birthday

Airman Tevin Moore, most junior ranking person at the ball, and the most senior ranking, Gen. Donald Hoffman, commander Air Force Materiel Command, marked the Air Force’s 63rd Birthday by cutting the ceremonial cake during the event Friday Sept. 10 held in the Trotter Convention Center. It is tradition that the most senior ranking and junior ranking members at the Air Force Birthday Ball cut the Air Force’s birthday cake together. To put the difference in rank into perspective when Airman Moore was on his way to his first day of kindergarten in 1996, General Hoffman was taking command of the 14th Operations Group at Columbus AFB.
