Columbus Air Force Base Honor Guard member Airman 1st Class Patrick Caffrey, 14th Force Support Squadron, reveals Capt. Jeffery A. Haney’s name on the Richard “Gene” Smith Plaza wall May 23 during a Memorial Day Retreat Ceremony. Also revealed during the ceremony was Maj. Joseph M. McCormick of Belmont, N.C. who was among the six crew members aboard the Charlotte-based N.C. Air National Guard C-130 Hercules on July 1, 2012, when it crashed while fighting wildfires in the Black Hills region of western South Dakota. Sixteen members of the Charlotte-based N.C.
