Special Leave Accrual sell-back option Published Aug. 12, 2008 By 1st Lt. Steven Lewis 14th Force Support Squadron COLUMBUS AFB, Miss. -- An additional one-time Special Leave Accrual sell-back is authorized for enlisted servicemembers. Under this provision, an enlisted servicemember may sell back up to 30 days of Special Leave Accrual (this does not apply to officers). Such a sell back counts towards the servicemember's cap of 60 days over a career. This provision has no termination date. The law requires a member to have in excess of 120 days of leave in order to be eligible to sell any leave. Servicemembers may exercise this one-time option only when the member would lose accumulated leave in excess of 120 days.
