COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- This year’s Dental Assistants Recognition Week takes place March 6 - 12 and the American Dental Assistant Association’s theme for this week long celebration is, “Dental Assistants: Our mission is to serve, our passion is to care.”
This celebration is to acknowledge the commitment and unique and vital contributions dental assistants everywhere provide the dental profession.
At Columbus AFB, dental assisting continues to diversify and expand. Whether working chairside with the dentist, cleaning teeth, working at the front desk or in the dental lab, dental assistants are vital to the success of the dental clinic. They provide quality patient care, soothe patients’ dental anxiety, and ensure the efficient operation of the dental clinic. They are the ones who help make your visit to the dentist productive, safe and as comfortable as possible.
Team BLAZE’s dental assistants are Master Sgt. Tisha Everett; Tech. Sgt. Earnest Everett; Staff Sgts. Thai Huong Vanover, Maria Schinella, and Nathaniel Farinas; Senior Airmen Brandis Dixon, Robert Woods, and Emily Miller; and Shaneka Hubbard.
“I would like to recognize the many contributions dental assistants everywhere provide the dental profession, especially the dental assistants here at Columbus AFB,” said Lt. Col. Marie-Antonette Brancato, 14th Medical Operations Squadron Dental Flight Commander. “They all do a great job and are the backbone to the Team BLAZE dental team. I salute you!”
