MiCare is a secure online messaging system that can be used by patients to take command of their healthcare by communicating directly with their specific Columbus AFB healthcare team.
The introduction of MiCare to the Koritz clinic allows our patients to conveniently request their next appointment, medication renewals, receive test and lab results, communicate online with their Koritz health care team about non-urgent symptoms, requests a copy of their immunization records and also access a large library of patient education materials.

Your Columbus AFB health care team values your time. MiCare provides our patients with a secure platform to communicate with their healthcare team and vice versa without coming to the clinic. Your dedicated healthcare team treats each message as a priority and works to respond in a timely manner usually within 72 hours. Please do not use MiCare to send messages that require immediate attention.

To ensure security and privacy of messages communicated via MiCare secure messaging, all members - patients, staff members, and providers - are required to register with a unique Log In and Password. Due to security reasons, you must first sign up at the clinic IN PERSON to be granted access to the Columbus AFB MiCare secure messaging application. As an OPTION to Face-to-Face registration, members who have a military email address can fill out an E-registration form and submit it electronically to your MTF's MiCare designated email address.

You must use your military email address on your CAC-enabled computer with a digital signature to complete this form. Please encrypt your email prior to sending. Your Koritz Clinic Organizational box is 14MDG.MiCare. The e-registration is only available for a limited time - act fast and register today. Only you and designated practice members of your healthcare team have access to your messages ensuring maximal cross-coverage and confidentiality.
MiCare has several benefits which include:

Getting written advice that might be forgotten or misunderstood if communicated verbally.
o Avoiding the annoyance of waiting in phone trees and playing "telephone tag."
o Close monitoring of health issues through confidential online communications without the inconveniences of traffic, parking, or lost days at work.
o Getting attention and direct contact with your healthcare team for non-urgent matters.
o Requesting medication refills, or lab, radiology, and medical test results.
o Requesting to arrange lab, radiology, medical tests, or appointments
o Obtaining patient education through a web-based application that gives you access to an extensive library reviewed by board-certified healthcare professionals from leading health institutions in the U.S.

Don't delay-enroll in MiCare today! One MiCare enrollee said it is, "empowering to be able to communicate via the Internet about routine health issues - and can very well prevent visits to the clinic..."
