Dec. 8, the 14th Operations Support Squadron, under the leadership of Lt. Col. David Gossett hosted their new honorary squadron commander, Carlos Rosales, owner of Tampico Bay and Carlos Digital Productions and his son, Roberto. The day was filled from start to finish Mr. Rosales received a full exposure to the diversity of the 14th OSS.

Mr. Rosales toured the14th OSS and received an immersion brief from every flight in the OSS including Training, Life Support, Weather, Base Operations, RAPCON, and Tower. Prior to the staff meeting, the key leaders met with Mr. Rosales and ate a lunch of chili prepared by squadron members. During the staff meeting, Colonel Gossett presented Mr. Rosales the "Scream'n Eagles" coin and 14th OSS patches. After the staff meeting, Mr. Rosales and his son received Red Carpet simulators conducted by LSI from all three airframes flown by the 14th Flying Training Wing.

One of the things which impressed Mr. Rosales the most was the amount of work which goes on at Columbus AFB and especially the amount of support which is required to make the mission of training the world's best pilots a reality. "I did not realize that this base was so busy!" Mr. Rosales remarked at his out-brief with Colonel Gossett at the end of the day.

"I will tell all my friends that good work is going on out here and I am proud to support Columbus AFB and its mission." Mr. Rosales went on to say, "I see it takes a lot of hard work to train a pilot and I am grateful for the hospitality shown by Colonel Gossett and all the Scream'n Eagles, and I'm proud to be their honorary squadron commander."
