Med Group Airmen receive Air Force honors Published Feb. 20, 2009 By Senior Airman Jacob Corbin 14th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Two BLAZE Team members were recently announced as some of the most exceptional medical personnel in the Air Force. Maj. Randy McCalip, 14th Medical Operations Squadron, was named the Air Force Field Grade Aerospace Physiologist of the Year for 2008. Major McCalip is the flight commander for the Aerospace Physiology flight. Tech. Sgt. Michael Lee, 14th Medical Operations Squadron, was named the Air Force winner of the Chief Master Sgt. Lewis W. Dunlap Outstanding NCO Award. "I'm extremely proud of Major McCalip and Tech. Sgt. Lee for their outstanding contributions to the Air Force mission," said Col. Diane Fletcher, 14th Medical Group commander. The Air Force Surgeon General's Medical Force Development Directorate said that the competition for the awards was exceptional all around.
