Columbus AFB closings and reduced hours for Independence Day weekend Published July 1, 2010 14th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Most Columbus AFB offices will be closed or have reduced hours between Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5, in honor of the Independence Day holiday. This includes all flying and administrative functions at the base including all medical services. The Columbus AFB Base Exchange will be open Friday, July 2 from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 3- from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Sunday, July 4 and open Monday, July 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Commissary will be open Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3 normal hours and will be closed Sunday and Monday, July 4 and 5.
