Frickenstein takes helm of 14th Mission Support Group

Colonel-selectScott Frickenstein assumed command of the 14th Mission Support Group on July 6 in a ceremony at the BLAZE hangar.

The colonel select previously lead the Analysis Branch in the Force Support Division, Directorate of Force Structure, Resources and Assessment, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. In that position he was responsible for providing analyses and assessments of systems under the purview of the Force Application and Force Support Functional Capabilities Boards, comprising over 40 percent of the DoD budget.

Frickenstein graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1990 as a distinguished graduate with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and immediately continued his education at the University of Florida to achieve his masters degree in the same subject. In 2000 he received his Ph. D in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School as a Distinguished Graduate.
