Columbus Air Force Base officials met with members of American Legion Post 69 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding at a ceremony Jan. 24 at the Post.  Col. Jim Sears, 14th Flying Training Wing commander joined Bill Quick, American Legion Post 69 president in signing the MOU where the Post will host the base's Alternate Emergency Family Assistance Center, if the Airman and Family Readiness Center cannot support the EFAC on the installation, the American Legion will provide work center space.  The EFAC provides a one-stop shop for emergency assistance to Airmen and their families during crisis events.

"This is our first agreement with an off-base agency," noted Laura Clagg, Airman and Family Readiness director. "With the help of the enormous American Legion facility, we are leading the way in supporting our Airmen and their families by having a signed agreement for an alternate EFAC location."
