Columbus Air Force Base’s “2020 Wings Over Columbus Air Show” has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Department of the Air Force has suspended public outreach activities and support to community events in the United States and at its overseas’ locations through May 15, 2020.

The suspension includes, but is not limited to, on-base and civilian-sponsored airshows, Air Force band performances and community engagements and meetings that involve large gatherings.

The air show was scheduled for April 25-26, 2020.

Because of the time required to reserve and schedule military aerial demonstration teams, such as the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the air show will not be rescheduled for a later date this year.
