14th MDG garners nine AETC awards

The 14th Medical Group at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi received nine Air Education Training Command level awards Dec. 6, 2016.

 

Awards ranged from individual to group-wide awards and from enlisted to officer awards.

 

Award recipients are listed below:

 

14th MDG - AETC's Best Ambulatory Clinic Patient Safety Program. This award highlights a program that focuses on patient centered care. It is the second year in a row the 14th MDG has received this award.

 

14th MDG - AETC's U.S. Air Force Outstanding Medical Home Award. This award highlights a program revolving around an open line of communication and trust between the provider and the patient.

 

14 MDG Physical Therapy Clinic - AETC's U.S. Air Force BSC Small Team Award. This award highlights the two-person team at the Physical Therapy Clinic.

 

Airman 1st Class Samuel Miller - AETC's U.S. Air Force Aerospace and Operational Physiology Airman of the Year. This is the second year in a row that Miller has received this award.

 

Senior Airman Raul Pena - AETC's U.S. Air Force Enlisted Health Services Management Airman of the Year.

 

Staff Sgt. Kathleen Greene - AETC's U.S. Air Force Aerospace Medicine Airman of the Year.

 

Capt. Jennifer Arce - AETC's U.S. Air Force Company Grade Officer Clinical Excellence in Nursing Award.

 

Maj. Jason Bingham - AETC's U.S. Air Force Company Grade Officer Biomedical Specialist Category 1 Officer of the Year.

 

Maj. Eric Chase - AETC's U.S. Air Force Field Grade Officer Biomedical Specialist Category 1 Officer of the Year.

 

“Our medics treat everyone with compassion and understanding which allows us to provide the best care to meet everyone's medical needs,” Col. Imelda Reedy, 14th MDG commander, said. “People are our passion and keeping them healthy is our priority because they deserve nothing less. I am so proud to be a part of this great community and more proud of our medics who live by our motto ‘People First, Safety Always, Respect for All’.”
