New, improved Freedom Park now open

Freedom Park opened to the Columbus community July 19, 2019, on Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The old Freedom Park was a wooden structure built in 1996 and over the years the playground started to deteriorate in several areas causing hazards for children.
