Colonel JESPER R. STUBBENDORFF

Colonel Jesper R. Stubbendorff is the Deputy Commander, 14th Flying Training Wing, Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. He is responsible for conducting Undergraduate and Graduate Pilot Training for U.S. Air Force and allied officers. The wing is composed of 212 aircraft that fly more than 40k sorties and 55K hours annually, training over 400 pilots and combat system operators. He is responsible for day-to-day operations of base support functions and mission activities for the Wings over 3,000 military, civilian, and contract Airmen. Colonel Stubbendorff also manages an operations and maintenance budget of approximately $131 million and capital assets exceeding $2.3 billion.

Colonel Stubbendorff received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in May 2003 with degrees in Operations Research and Economics and earned his pilot wings at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi in 2005. He is a command pilot with over 4,900 flying hours in tanker and trainer aircraft including nine deployments and 1,400 combat hours in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM and INHERENT RESOLVE. Colonel Stubbendorff is a member of the Air Force Language Enabled Airmen Program (LEAP) in Russian and Swedish. Prior to his current position, Colonel Stubbendorff was the Chief of the Current Operations Division at Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, JBSA-Randolph, San Antonio, TX. He was  responsible for overseeing operational readiness, aircrew performance, airfield and weather operations, force presentation and generation, and plans and programs for Air Education and Training Command.
