Colonel (Dr.) GUY R. MAJKOWSKI

Colonel Guy R. Majkowski is the commander of the 14th Medical Group, Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The group consists of two squadrons and has an authorized work force of 188 personnel. As commander, he advises the wing commander on medical readiness, healthcare, and aeromedical evacuation issues. Colonel Majkowski provides and coordinates comprehensive healthcare for a community of 7,800 beneficiaries including occupational and public health, as well as physiological training for 3,000 wing employees. He provides the strategic plan and guidance for the comprehensive healthcare provided during 29,400 annual outpatient visits, valued at $2.4 million. Colonel Majkowski also coordinates the physiological academics and training for all student pilots and aircrew. In addition, he directs the execution of the business plan and an $8M fiscal program including a $23M facility.

Colonel Majkowski entered active duty upon graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1994. He has accumulated diverse experiences in clinical operations, research and development, and strategic management. Colonel Majkowski has commanded at the flight and squadron level, and led numerous Air Force Medical Service-wide strategic initiatives at the Headquarters and clinical consultant-level involving strategic planning, organizational management, manpower, and clinical practice. He is a board certified orthopedic physical therapist and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy. Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Majkowski served as the commander, 48th Medical Operations Squadron, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom.
