July 4th graphic

Graphic commemorates the 234th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with traditional 4th of July images of the American flag and fireworks. Under the backdrop of the Airmen's Creed, the four aircraft currently flown by the 14th Flying Training Wing prepare to soar to unlimited heights. Designed by graphic artist Tammi Baudoin.

COLUMBUS HONORS OSCAR WINNING DISNEY ANIMATOR

Celluloid from the Walt Disney movie “Victory Through Airpower” was donated to the grandfather of Base Community Council member and treasurer Rufus Ward by Josh Meador. Ward’s grandfather, Mr. T.C. Billups, had an informal serviceman’s hangout called the “Drop in Hangar” in his basement of his house in downtown Columbus that was frequented by the Columbus AAF aviation cadets.
