The Columbus AFB Chapel hosted a two-day marriage enrichment seminar Friday and Saturday.

The event featured Dr. David Clarke, a nationally acclaimed author, counselor and teacher.

"Men are clams. Women are crowbars. Is it a funny image or do such statements resonate within your relationship? They do with mine. Sometimes I just don't want to talk about it, and it seems that sometimes my wife simply insists. These images suggest some of the challenges facing men and women in our lives together. By the way, the Clams/Crowbars thing is a title of a book written by Dr. David Clarke," said Capt. (Ch) William Logan, 14th Flying Training Wing Chapel.

With the assistance of the USAF Chief of Chaplain Office, CAFB was able to host this six time author. Dr. Clarke has written: Men are Clams, Women are Crowbars; Parenting Isn't for Superheroes; The Total Marriage Makeover; 6 Steps to Emotional Freedom; A Marriage After God's Own Heart; and Cinderella Meets the Caveman. Dr. Clarke has also appeared on numerous television and radio networks and is an adjunct teacher for the Dallas Theological Seminary.
