Tax center opens for business

The Columbus AFB Tax Center is now open in its new location, Building 530, the post office. 

Certified volunteer tax preparers are here to help families get their tax refund. This program and its volunteer tax preparers are IRS certified. 

The tax center opened its doors Monday and will be open until May 15. The hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

BLAZE Team members are reminded to bring the following documents with them for their appointment: all forms W-2, 1099, and 1098; information for other income; identification number of childcare provided; proof of account for direct deposit such as a voided check or preprinted deposit slip, Social Security cards for yourself, spouse and dependents; and proof of identity, a driver's license, employer ID, school ID, state ID or military ID will suffice. 

The tax center is free of charge to BLAZE Team members.
